iImprov-Modal, developed by Jazz Apps Mobile LLC as its second release, is designed as part of a series of educational tools aimed at jazz musicians across all proficiency levels. The series addresses specific improvisational challenges common to musicians, offering comprehensive explanations of relevant concepts and theoretical frameworks, supplemented with written and audio examples as well as targeted exercises. Each application features jam-along recordings in all keys, with adjustable tempo settings and instrument balance controls. Additionally, the apps allow users to select the appropriate transposition tailored to their instrument.

Specifically focusing on modal jazz improvisation, iImprov-Modal equips users with essential tools for confidently navigating modal compositions. While its primary emphasis is on minor modal tunes, the app also includes content on playing over 7 sus 4 modal tunes and Major 7#4 tunes. Exercises and jam-alongs crafted for each of these modal types facilitate targeted practice.
